I purchased wire from Apex Jr, like how a lot of folks here like to do. But I was concerned because on his site, it's mentioned that the wire is silver coated copper. Which is exactly what the AX84 FAQ recommends against using.
What's the deal here? Should I use this wire, or should I not?
Also, on a related note, has anyone found that 62/36/2 solder (2% silver) bonds better to silver coated wire? I have some in supply and was debating using it over the regular 63/37 stuff that I've ordered.

No, you're fine. I should probably update that FAQ. The silver plating makes it nice and easy to solder, and it's shiny too :-)
The only problem you might have is in very humid environments, like if you play outdoors a lot in Florida or something. And that corrosion takes years to develop.
If you happen to see any exposed copper on a solder joint, just put a little more solder on there to cover it up, just in case, and you're good to go.
